Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 17, 2026

Overview

Qytravo ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy describes what data the Qytravo desktop application and website (qytravo.store) collect, how that data is used, and the choices you have. We are committed to complying with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable privacy laws.

The core principle behind Qytravo is privacy by design: the application runs entirely on your local machine and is architected to collect the absolute minimum data necessary to deliver its functionality.

Data we collect

Qytravo collects very little data. We distinguish between data processed locally on your machine and data processed by third parties during purchase.

Local data (on your machine only)

None of the above data is transmitted to our servers. It exists only on your local device.

Purchase data (processed by PayPal)

We do not have direct access to your PayPal account or payment card details. All payment processing is handled entirely by PayPal.

Website data

The Qytravo website (qytravo.store) does not collect any personal data through tracking, analytics, or advertising. The site makes two kinds of network requests: (1) the buy page reads your machine ID from your locally running Qytravo engine to bind your license to your PC — this happens over localhost and never reaches external servers; (2) if you pay in-site, the PayPal checkout loads directly from PayPal (see their privacy policy). After a completed payment, our order webhook receives your buyer email, machine ID and order ID from PayPal solely to mint and email your license key — this purchase record is kept for support, refunds and re-activation.

How we use your data

The data we handle is used exclusively for the following purposes:

We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to providing the software and supporting you as a customer.

License verification

License keys are verified offline using a cryptographic signature embedded in the application. No data is sent over the network during the verification process. The key is checked against a public key embedded in the binary — no server call is required.

This means:

Machine identification

Qytravo generates a stable machine fingerprint — a one-way hash derived from system-level hardware identifiers. This fingerprint is used solely to bind your license key to your specific PC and prevent unauthorized redistribution.

Key facts about the machine fingerprint:

Cookie notice

The Qytravo website uses no cookies whatsoever — no session cookies, no persistent cookies, no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no third-party tracking cookies.

If the buy page communicates with your locally running Qytravo engine, this happens entirely over localhost (127.0.0.1) and does not involve any cookies, local storage, or session identifiers.

Third-party services

We use a minimal number of third-party services. Each is described below:

We do not use any analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics), advertising networks, social media trackers, or any other third-party scripts on our website.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

Right of access

You have the right to request confirmation of whether we process any personal data about you, and to receive a copy of that data. Since we collect minimal data, this typically consists of your purchase email and transaction reference.

Right to rectification

You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal data. If your purchase email is incorrect, contact us to have it updated.

Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. Upon receiving such a request, we will delete your email and transaction data from our records within 30 days, unless retention is required by law.

Right to data portability

You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. Upon request, we will provide your data in CSV format.

Right to object

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. Since we use your data solely for license management and customer support, objecting may limit our ability to provide those services.

Right to withdraw consent

If processing is based on consent (e.g., contacting support), you may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe your data protection rights have been violated. If you are in the EU/EEA, you can find your local data protection authority here. California residents may contact the California Attorney General.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@qytravo.store. We will respond to all requests within 30 days.

While no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, we believe Qytravo's architecture inherently minimizes risk by limiting data collection in the first place.

Children's privacy

Qytravo is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@qytravo.store and we will promptly delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or operational needs. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by other means (e.g., a notice on the website).

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of Qytravo after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
